About the role
The IS Senior Analyst for Workplace Mobile, Devices & Security works within the IS team of Booker, and is responsible for delivering effective, secure and efficient systems in Asset Management and Security systems to help improve customer happiness and cash profit. The role is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the mobile phone department, ensuring efficiency and productivity. This includes handling procurement, inventory, and distribution of mobile devices, defining and implementing policies and procedures, providing training and support to department staff, and coordinating with vendors and service providers for efficient service delivery. You will supervise and analyse department performance metrics, making improvements as needed. Additionally, you will implement and handle security protocols for all devices within the organisation, conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, and develop and maintain an incident response plan for security breaches. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, you will stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies. In collaboration with other groups, you will align mobile device and security strategies with overall business goals, prepare and present regular reports on department performance and security status to senior management, and act as a point of contact for security-related incidents, coordinating with external security agencies if vital and technical problem-solving.
You will be responsible for
Health, Safe and Legal (Governance, Security and Controls):
- Align with organisational change procedures and system security.
- Follow all company policies, e.g. financial planning and control, health and safety.
- Ensure disaster recovery is regularly validated and other risks are regularly reviewed and handled.
- Ensure system availability, costs and approved project status are reported accurately each period.
- Work with IS colleagues to lead suppliers of IT infrastructure, software, and development/ support services.
- Stay in sync with IT supplier contracts and licensing agreements to ensure we remain aligned with contractual terms and conditions.
- Develop your team, their performance and progression, and support team development.
- Champion diversity and inclusion to ensure everyone feels welcome at Booker.
- Empower your team with clear expectations and provide recognition.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Work to identify issues that will or are impacting systems stability, availability and functionality, and then work promptly, jointly & proactively to mitigate and resolve such issues.
- Work with colleagues, customers and suppliers to lead service perception and the understanding of IS services.
- Work proactively with team members to improve processes and maximise system asset utilisation.
- Work to deliver an effective application architecture and development roadmap to support the company's growth plans.
- Remain knowledgeable about technology trends and innovations.
- Work promptly, jointly & proactively on projects to improve cash profit & customer happiness.
- Ensure projects are delivered in full to agreed budgets and timescales.
- Utilise our supplier’s capacity and capability to undertake project and service activity.
Cash Profit:
- Provide fit-for-purpose systems at the minimum cost.
- Handle suppliers to achieve value for money on products and services.
- Find ways to achieve or beat budgeted costs and try to improve costs year-on-year.
You will need
- Good understanding of Workspace One, Knox, Zero Touch, Microsoft Defender for Endpoints, Microsoft Office Suite, Ivanti Endpoint Management, Sophos, Windows OS
- Technical Problem Solving and Troubleshooting
- Knowledge of wholesale industry business processes.
- Good people management skills, with proven ability to work effectively with other internal and external teams.
- Technical project management skills and successful delivery of large-scale IT deployments.
- Service management skills with experience of maintaining and improving IT infrastructure.
- Consistent delivery of results.
- Experience in asset management
