About the role

An opportunity has arisen to join the Budgens Supply Chain Team as a Supply Chain Team Leader. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will optimise the in-bound flow of goods, providing management support on intake volumes, phasing, prioritisation and delivery performance so as to maximise outbound retailer service within agreed limits.

You will centrally co-ordinate backhaul and IDT movements to agreed KPI's and produce reports to allow Inbound efficiency to be maximised.

You will produce service level reports for the business and provide supporting analysis.

You will be responsible for

Maintaining inbound service levels to agreed targets.

Producing reports of inbound performance and service levels.

Ensuring the booking schedule accommodates variable lead-time supplier orders without exceeding capacity.

Ensuring that intake phasing is balanced across the intake week.

Ensuring that booked loads by day are within agreed capacity levels.

Planning the intake window to ensure the successful management and delivery of seasonal, promotional and range review products without impacting Supply Chain processes.

Ensure that robust contingency plans are in place for failed deliveries.

Liaise with suppliers as required.

You will need

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English grade c or above.

Practical working knowledge or understanding of supply chain systems.

Experience in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel spreadsheets.

Good communication, administration and organisational skills.

Strong customer service skills.
