About the role

You will be working as part of a small, dedicated team to produce delivery schedules for the distribution network.

The role will involve producing daily delivery schedules for RSC's using Paragon planning tool for store deliveries, backhaul / supplier collections and trunk movements.

Working rota's will alternate between:

04.00 -12.00 Monday to Friday (Week 1) &

0400-1200 Sunday -Thursday (Week 2)

You will be responsible for

• Producing daily delivery schedules using Paragon to plan deliveries & collections
• To identify appropriate delivery days and times for new stores based on a standard criteria
• To review requests to change delivery days or times
• Import the customer demand file
• Schedule all deliveries / collections with a view to maximise trailer fill, maintain customer delivery windows, reduce no. of routes, route mileage, drivers hours
• Export the schedule and required data to each RSC
• Produce master truck routes if required
• Update Paragon and maintain other systems controlling deliveries to stores.

You will need

Essential

• GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Background / experience in planning / scheduling
• Ability to work accurately in a fast moving & pressurised environment to tight deadlines
• Good IT and diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Experience of spreadsheet tools including Excel

Desirable

• 'A' level standard or equivalent level of numeric and literacy skills
• A background in distribution with transport or warehouse experience
• Ability to use a transport planning tool, ideally Paragon
