About the role

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Category Assistant within our Trading department.

You will be responsible for

Reporting to the Category Manager the role of Category Assistant is responsible for the provision of a full administrative support service to your line manager and the category.


You will need to be an effective communicator at all levels as you will be required to liaise with a wide range of internal and external contacts and be able to deliver excellent customer service at all times.


Working in a busy environment you will be highly organised, resilient with the ability to proactively and confidently challenge to get the right result for the business and your customers.

You will need

To be successful in this role you will need to be a good administrator with good PC skills and a sound working knowledge of spreadsheets and data bases (especially Excel). In addition you need to have a good level of numeracy, be detail conscious and analytical and be able to prioritise a varied workload.


As a strong team player you will be able to work on your own initiative whilst assisting the wider team as and when required.
