About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Central Operations team to support both the Budgens stores and also the head office functions in Supply chain, Trading and Buying.

This role will enable you to use your analytical skills to determine what stores require more support for their sales activities and provide advice on what products' sell best or alternatively what new products are due to come out in the next few weeks. You will need to utilise your influencing skills when speaking with shop owners to explain the successes of other Budgens stores with specific product lines.

You will be responsible for

As a Retail Operations Specialist you will be responsible for;

Being the bridge between field/store and head office functions

Accommodate all retail activity plans and ensure stores are aware of new promotions and sales targets 

Monitoring set budgets and helping problem solve across the business

Manage the seasonal and promotional plans working collaboratively with Stores to hit sales targets for our Group

Plan and lead development, planning and execution of our key tactical sales activity for in store plans

You will need

A passion to provide excellent support to Stores and Head Office functions

GCSE Maths and English- C Grade and above

Good knowledge of MS Office functions in particular Excel (Vlookup and Pivot Tables essential)

Knowledge of retail operations and in particular the independent retail model

Good commercial acumen with experience in influencing, client relationship building and with the proven ability to evaluate data and provide a meaningful insight into the business.
