About the role
Are you an experienced Credit Controller, looking for your next challenge?
Here at Booker we are looking for an expert Credit Controller to join our new Finance Team of 5, based in Eccles, Manchester.
This is a rare opportunity to join a new Finance Team here at Booker and be instrumental in its development!
After a period of Training the role offers flexibility and work life balance with Hybrid working.
You will be responsible for
- Maintenance of the retailer's debtor’s ledger(s)
- Collection of payment for goods delivered into stores from the warehouse.
- Handling the payment for investments, where trading terms have been breached.
- Daily collection of unpaid Direct Debits.
- Preparing templates for upload of invoices, relating to fees on a weekly basis.
- Arranging payment plans/stock loans within the SAP system, as agreed, to support retailers.
- Handling retailer’s accounts professionally, involving the pausing/stopping of orders and placing order limits on the system.
- Responding to supplier queries in a timely and considerate manner.
- Supporting with the provision of accurate reporting of Aged Debt balances and collections statistics to the AR Manager and the Field Sales Team.
- Processing refund applications from retailers.
- Supplying copy statements/invoices/credits as requested by the retailers.
- Processing payment via credit/debit card and maintain weekly reports for AR Processing.
- Preparing documentation for unpaid debtors to be placed into the Legal Process.
You will need
- Experience in a similar position within a finance department.
- Excellent communications skills with both internal and external partners.
- A well-mannered, however tenacious approach.
- Intermediate IT skills, including Excel to perform reconciliations and produce reports.
- Logical and methodical way of working to ensure financial targets are met.
- Experience of SAP is desirable, however full training will be given.
