About the role

As the Warehouse Team Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the site management team in ensuring that warehouse operations run smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively while adhering to legal and safety standards. Your expertise will enable the team to always provide the highest level of service to customers. With your leadership and guidance, the daily operations of the warehouse will be managed seamlessly, ensuring that the customer's needs are met with the utmost care and attention.

The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient, safe, legal and cost-effective management of the warehouse operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be always provided to the customer.

The Warehouse Team Manager - Nights role is a 1 year maternity cover for the shift times of 10pm-6am

As the Warehouse Team Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the site management team to manage the warehouse operations effectively. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the daily warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently, while providing a high level of service to the customers.

You will effectively support your team of Warehouse and Clerical colleagues to be the best they can be and ensure support the life cycle of our colleagues.

You will need

If you're looking to excel in a role that demands a working knowledge of the Warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry as well as the business and operational aspects of supervising a depot Warehouse operation, then you're in the right place.

Along with a general understanding of the Transport function, you'll need excellent communication and management skills to lead a team of warehouse operatives. Your ability to train and manage colleagues effectively will be essential to your success.

In addition, proficiency in computer skills, especially in Office 365, is crucial as you will be using it daily for reporting, absence and formal disciplinary processes, coaching, and wellness meetings.
