About the role

Are you a self-proclaimed food enthusiast? Do you enjoy the hustle and bustle of working with fresh food? If so, Our Ritter Fresh site is the place for you!

Based in Avonmouth, Our Ritter Fresh site provides all of our high end Hotel and Restaurant Customers with Meat, Fish, Game, Shellfish and Live Crustaceans, this really is the plaice to get on.

As an Operations Manager for Ritter Fresh, you will be responsible for the full operation, overseeing 15 staff members in production, transport and the sales team, monitoring, advising and reporting on all operation and stock activities, this role really is meaty.

You will be responsible for

Ensuring that onsite manufacturing adheres to all legislation and guidelines

Monitor and maintain the Company quality assurance systems, food safety audits and HACCAP

Managing the site budget, ensuring the operation is run with the most cost effective methods whilst achieving an excellent level of Customer Satisfaction

Set and monitor objectives for both the team and site. Manage staff effectively and offer development opportunities within the operation

Ensure that the site is adequately staffed to receive stock and manage the despatch to customers, meeting the high quality standards demanded by the business

Managing stocktakes and audits, including supplier audits within agreed timelines  

Ensuring compliance to the sites policies and standards. The site currently works to the British Retail Consortium Global Standard for food production and is required to meet the relevant standards for the Food Standards Agency, Rural Payments Agency, amongst others

You will need

To be a food enthusiast, ideally experienced in either Meat or Fish production

A passion for delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations

Strong planning and organisational skill with a sense of priority for deadline and attention to detail

Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills

A passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience

Ability to be flexible to meet business needs

Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
