About the role
Within this role, you'll provide data quality assurance to ensure data and information is accurate, up to date and right first time. You'll also carry out verification for all products entering the business ensuring barcodes are compatible with wholesale and retail systems. You'll work closely with the Buying Team & Trading Services Team to ensure product data is accurate and that on-going improvements are put in place.
You will be responsible for
Managing the quality of data entry into our system (SAP) for the Buying team, ensuring accuracy and within agreed timeframes
Performing daily/weekly checks on new lines to ensure there are no errors that will cause system issues
Validating / requesting activation on new products once checks complete to make lines live
Work closely with the BCO’s and Team Leads on any queries/issues with actions to resolve and challenge when information is not provided accurately
Work with the Booker Trading Support Team to find solutions for unexpected challenges
Other admin tasks to support within the role and the wider Trading Services team
You will need
Previous experience in a similar data entry role would be an advantage
Experienced PC user with an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Vlookups and Pivot Tables)
Strong work ethic in taking ownership to deliver on key activities and results
Excellent attention to detail and the tenacity to get things done ‘right first time’
To be reliable, calm, collected and focused on the task at hand
Good communication, time management and organisational skills with ability to work effectively with others
