About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our Ritter Leicester team. In this role, you will support the Head of Operations by having ownership over the warehouse and transport operation for Ritter Leicester whilst following our policies and procedures to ensure you’re always the most effective people manager.

Part of the Booker Group, Ritter Courivaud are importers of fine foods, supplying an exclusive range of fresh food and other speciality food for a number of prestigious accounts nationwide. 

You will be responsible for

Working closely with the senior management team, to ensure procedures and performance are adhered to as well as maximising service levels. 

Being a pro-active, supportive and reliable people manager, bringing out the best in both managers, supervisors and the wider team. 

Building and implementing effective plans to improve customer satisfaction – increasing efficiency and improving accuracy. 

Ensuring the team always Safe, Secure & Legal, are following company procedures and maintain accurate records

You will need

To be successful in this role, you will be a results driven experienced people manager, with excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels both internally and externally

Proven experience in a warehouse or transport environment with a similar headcount in a team of approx 25 heads

Past experience within the food sector would be advantageous 

You will be able to manage expectations, driven by your strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and keep to tights deadlines, as well as having a strong customer service orientation and excellent attention to detail
