About the role
This role is based within the fast-paced warehouse department and forms an essential part of the Best Food Business in delivering the right products to our customers on time.
Within this role you will work with all team members to ensure that all corporate goals are consistently achieved and maintained. Using voice technology your role will include unloading of supplier’s vehicles of products, performing checks to company standards, and processes relating to our clients’ requirements, taking temperature recordings where necessary.
You will be responsible for
Using a Forklift Truck (FLT) you will ensure that all products received are checked and are accurately put away in the correct location in conjunction with the bulk stock system and are labelled, stacked safely, and wrapped as per the current process and policy to enable pickers to assemble customer orders without incurring any delay to the pick.
You must comply with all requirements of the Health and Safety policy and procedure including wearing safety clothing and footwear, always adhere to Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) procedures and be aware of and comply with all fire safety procedures, including maintaining clear fire exits and escape routes.
Compliance with all relevant Food Safety and Food Hygiene legislation is essential and ensuring the warehouse and site is kept clean, tidy and in safe condition at all times.
You must cooperate fully with other departments/depots always maintaining a professional and polite attitude and undertake any other duties that may from time to time prove necessary.
You will need
Whilst no specific warehouse experience is required, you will be used to working to targets and have an accurate and methodical approach to your work. You must have basic numeracy and literacy skills and be physically fit. You will be a good team player who supports our company values. Knowledge of Food Hygiene and experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Must hold a current FLT license and have experience on either replenishment or put away,
Specific Hours Information
Sunday to Friday with rota’d day off. 06:00 – 14:30
